Collections: Lotions, Body Mists, Handsanitizers, Body Wash/Scrub

This is my addmition to a problem. I decided to pull out my drawer of mostly bath & body works stuff. It includes my lotions, body mists, body butters, body washes, body scrubs, and PocketBacs.

I already knew I had a problem with this, that's why lotions were in both Finish 6 by Christmas and my Project 10 Pan. I'm almost ashamed to admit to myself and you just how many I actually own. I know there may be people that have more than I do, and don't take offense if you do! I just know this is WAY too much for me to handle and it's a spending habit I want to break. (And a reminder to use it all too.)

This was my drawer that contained most of my stuff in it. Keep in mind it doesn't close all the way and a few of the items still have to sit on my dresser. This drawer is from the wide plastic 3-drawer storage things you can get at Walmart.

I decided to sort my stuff into the following categories: Body Mists, Body Lotions, Moisture Cremes, Body Butters, PocketBacs, and Body Washes/Scrubs.

Body Mists

I found out I had a total of 27 body mists: 16 full sized and 11 travel sized. I had four scents that had both a full and travel-sized version: Paris Amore, Moonlight Path, Beautiful Day, and Secret Wonderland.

I know it seems ridiculous, as it takes me forever to go through a body mist. But my main problem is that I do a spray of this one here, a spray of that one there; I'm always jumping around my scents. I think I'm going to pick one or two that may or may not be season appropriate and use those consistently for the season. Then, swap for another one or two. Using this strategy, I have made quite a bit of progress on my Paris Amore Body Mist this past month, there's only about 1/3 left!

Body Lotions

The next category I sorted the drawer into was body lotions. I had a total of 17 of the body lotions - 14 full sized and 3 travel sized. There were no repeats this time from full & travel sized; just a whole lotta different scents. Pretty much all of these are completely full except for Moonlight Path (the one in my Finish 6 by Christmas). 

 

I see lots of lotion in my future! lol

Moisture Creams

Another set in the lotion type category. I ended up having 10 of these. Of those 10, there were four that I had in the body lotion as well - Paris Amore, Moonlight Path, Black Raspberry Vanilla, and Twilight Woods. In this category, I have two cream lotions that aren't from Bath and Body Works: the Jergens Natural Glow (a gradual tanning lotion), and Passion Struck for Victoria Secret.

Between the body lotion and the moisture creams, my lotion count is up to 27.

Body Butters

Thankfully I only own 2 of these. One in Japanese Cheery Blossom; The other in mango butter (from the true blue range).

This along with my previous count brings my lotion total to a whopping 29.

PocketBacs

Now, I don't entirely hate having lots of these. I do steadily work through them since I work in a school setting and feel the need to ALWAYS sanitize my hands (haha). I have a total of 20 of these.

Many of these are Halloween ones from last year or the year before. (When they went on crazy clearance price at a summer blowout). I have four "skulls" because this is one my fiance likes the smell of and will use.

Body Washes/Scrubs

In the picture, I have 5 body washes. However, I forgot I also have two in my shower (one for me, one for the fiance). So I technically have 7. However, of those 7, 3 are just about done and another 3 are almost halfway gone. So I only have 1 pretty much full body wash (which is the one I use for bubble baths). I feel like once I finish mine and starting using the others one by one, it'll go quickly.

I also have 2 body scrubs, which I really should use more (I just forget!), and it probably doesn't help that they get housed in this drawer.. I should move one to the bathroom. Anyway, back to the subject.

When sorting through this drawer, I also found both the face scrub and the face mask I had been scouring the bathroom for so yay! (Although I have also discovered both my and the finace's obsession with face wash and face scrubs.)

So this is my overall collection. Amazingly enough I'm not actually giving any away since I went through and got rid of 1/3 of my collection a year and a half ago. I'm just going to be determined to use them up now. (And get used to seeing some of these in future project pans!)
