If you have never heard of project 10 pan, it's where you choose 10 products in the hopes of completely finishing them. There is also normally a "no buy" where you aren't able to go purchase any more until you are finished with all 10 products.
I will have a "no buy", but there will be exceptions. I am still keeping my subscription boxes (Ipsy and Boxycharm), and my no buy only extends into the following categories: lip products, foundation, eye liner, mascara, and body lotions. These are the products that I already have more than enough of.
Now onto my 10 products!
1. Love & Beauty (by Forever 21) Sheer Lip Color (there is no shade on it)
Amount Left: Practically all of it
Reason added: This "sheer lip color" actually has no lip color. It's more like a lip balm. But, since it has been sitting in my lip drawer I never reach for it. It was a Christmas gift to me, and I do want to use it up. (I'm going to use it like a lip primer to smooth out lips and/or a chapstick)
Opinion: I really like the formula, it makes my lips smooth and silky. However, it is not a lip color. I will enjoy it while I have it, but it will probably not be "re"-purchased.
2. L'Oreal True Match Blush in Baby Blossom
Amount Left: I've hit pan, but still have a ways to go.
Reason added: This was the very first blush I've owned, and while I really enjoy it (the color is a nice soft/natural pink) I just havn't reached for it much since I've received my other blushes. Plus, I've had it SO long, I want to just go ahead and use it. I feel like it would be an accomplishment.
Opinion: I love the color, it's a perfect natural pink for my skintone. The blush isn't powdery, and actually has lasted a long time in my collection despite the amount of times I've used it. The staying power isn't amazing, but doesn't stink either. I may repurchase this in the future, but I want to finish more blushes off first.
3. Therapy Systems Perfect Concealer in the shade 2
Amount Left: About half?
Reason added: I'm really tired of this concealer. It's the only I have right now, but I will not buy a new one until this is practically gone, because I know if I get one this one will just collect dust. This is hopefully a push to help get it out.
Opinion: I really don't like this concealer. I find it to be too slippery; it moves and/or dissipates quickly. This will not be a re-purchase.
4. Benefit's "It's Potent!" Eye Cream
Amount Left: About 3/4 of the container
Reason added: Pretty much because I want to be more consistent with applying eye cream. Back when I did it more frequently, I really liked this stuff.
Opinion: I don't have much experience when I comes to eye cream (I'm scared to venture out because I'm sensitive when to comes to moisturizer products). However, I really liked then, and when I was using it consistently, I felt like my under eye circles were diminishing.
5. Lorac's Breakthrough Performance Foundation in Shade "SMS 1"
Amount Left: Just a sliver left, but it will last a fair amount (I needed one that I was really close to for confidence to keep going!!)
Reason added: I have more foundations than I need right now, so I'm trying to finish the ones that are open before using the others.
Opinion: I love the feel of this foundation. It goes on smoothly and I doesn't feel heavy or cake-y. This works best with my skin when I don't have a lot of breakout because it has a light to medium coverage, but it evens out my red splotchy skin fantastically! For that reason, I may purchase another bottle down the road when I need another one.
6. Maybelline Color Sensational Lipcolor in "Born With It"
Amount Left: About 1/3 of the tube
Reason added: I have a crazy amount of lippies. It's the category I have collected the most in. This is one of my older ones that I hoping to use up because I don't want it going bad. Plus, I'd really love to feel the satisfaction of finishing a lipstick.
Opinion: I really enjoy the color. On my pale skin its a wonderful pink nude with subtle shimmer. I use this with lip gloss on top, or to lighten other lipsticks I have. The shimmer in this does feel slightly chunky (not enough for me to use it, but enough to feel it as I'm applying). But, I love the color so much (as of right now) it may be a repurchase in the late future.
7. MAC's Zoom Fast Black Lash
Amount Left: I have absolutely no idea
Reason added: I have too many mascara's open and this is the oldest.
Opinion: I love how black this formula is. It also helps volumize and lengthen my lashes. I get compliments every time I use it. It will definitely be a repurchase as long as they still sell it.
8. L'Oreal Lineur Intense in Carbon Black
Amount Left: Absolutely no idea.
Reason added: I have been using pencil liner more here lately and wanted to give my liquid liner some love.
Opinion: For me, the brush is a little hard to use sometimes. It's a little think so I have to be careful when I want a subtle line. However I do like the formula. I'm not sure if I can even repurchase this, but I've been leaning more towards pencil anyway.
9. Bath & Body Works' Honey Sweetheart Lip Gloss
Amount Left: Almost all of it.
Reason added: Another lippie I'm hoping to phase out. I really enjoy this gloss, it subtle and it smells amazing.
Opinion: This is one of my favorite glosses. It works well over any lipstick, and can stand alone as well. It has subtle glitter in it with a sheer pink color. I will miss this when it's gone (I can't repurchase this one), but I'd rather enjoy every last drop then be afraid of using it and having it go bad.
10. Bath & Body Works' Travel-sized Body Lotion in Beautiful Day
Amount Left: A little over half
Reason added: I have WAY too much lotion. Probably more than I will ever be able to use. This is the first one I'm going to work on (start small), then I'll use the others as I get to them.
Opinion: I really enjoy bath and body works' lotions. Not all of them agree with my body chemistry, but I love the ones that do. However, I really doubt I will need ANY in the next forever...
So, those are the 10 products I'm hoping to use up. As of right now there isn't a time limit, just a push to use up some older items while not purchasing things I don't need. I'll update my progress here on my blog every week (so expect posts on Wednesday or Thursday depending on my life).
